The following information details how your child/children can access their Free Early Years Education at Brishing Barn Nursery.
All children become eligible for Free Early Years Education the term after their 3rd birthday. Some 2 year olds may also be eligible for funding. Parents and Carers are asked to check with the Nursery Director to find out if their child qualifies.
A child is eligible for Free Early Years Education at the start of the term after their second (if eligible), or third birthday in line with the Department for Education below.

Your child/children are able to access their Free Early Years Education to a maximum of 15hours per week over a minimum of two days. This is over 38 weeks of the year. Currently in Kent these 38 weeks are in line with KCC school term dates.
At Brishing Barn Nursery the Free Early Years Entitlement is offered in the following formats.
| Full Day 7am – 7pm|| 10 hours FEE and a Charge of £10.30|
| Morning Session 7am – 1pm|| 5 Hours and a charge of £5.15|
| Afternoon Session 1pm-7pm|| 5 Hours FEE and a charge of £5.15|
For all 2,3 and 4 year old children accessing their FEE hours only, the following pattern is:
- Monday – Friday
- One full Day 7am-7pm and One morning or afternoon session 7am-1pm 1pm-7pm
- Three morning sessions 7am-1pm
- Three afternoon sessions 1pm-7pm
Children attending non-funded sessions in addition to their FEEE hours will be charged at our current rates as shown on our Brishing Barn Nursery Weekly Fee Structure. You will be invoiced in the usual way showing how many free hours your child is receiving in that period and what the additional charges are.
Please note that the Free Early Education can be split between 2 providers up to a maximum of 15 hours.
If parent is only claiming their Free Early Years Entitlement then a Registration Fee and Deposit are NOT required.
